I SAY: Last year’s “Wall-E” is a tough act to follow. In 2008, Pixar showed us that animated features are not only cute. They can also impart lessons that have societal and ecological resonance. “Up”, on the other hand, is purely heart and adventure. It’s also cute, comedic, and exciting. But it’s miles away from the complexity and social relevance of “Wall-E”. “Up” is just ok, not brilliant.

i find your reviews really interesting. Your average score, i think, for all the movies you have watched is 2.5 to 3 out of five. I can't wait for your 5/5 movie. It must be really, really good!

If I give a film a rating of 5/5, then it is automatically an all-time favorite. Examples are "Slumdog Millionaire", "Requiem for a Dream", "Dancer in the Dark", "Atonement", "Memento", etc.
Dancer in the Dark is definitely a 5/5, after watching it, i said this VON TRIER, this is him! great choice. Anyway, I short listed your blog on SCREENVILLE (screenville.blogspot.com), Harry asked me to collect some Filipino based Art film blogs, so i did. Just look it up... or google it.
Dancer in the Dark is the first Von Trier film that I saw. I froze after the last scene. Before I knew it, I was crying and sobbing. Ang galing. After that, I became a fan of Von Trier. I can't wait to see Antichrist. It's a departure from his earlier works, but I hope it's not as bad as the Cannes critics made it look like.
